May eNews 2020

To all our supporters and friends,

The weeks, and now months, are rolling by and we’re really missing being out on the performance platform delivering some great live choral music to you, our audience.

But we’re making the most of it by really enjoying revisiting some of the work we’ve done in the last few years and sharing that with you online.  This e-News is no different with lots to whet the choral appetite which you can read about/listen to/watch below.

Behind the scenes, there’s a lot going on – some online choral workshops are in the making and you’ll be hearing directly from some of our singers in the coming weeks.

But it is with heavy hearts we announce some further performance cancellations.  Although inevitable, we remained hopelessly optimistic…however in line with government directive and in the best interests of health and safety for all of our artists, staff and audience, we will not be able to proceed with our planned events in June.
June’s programme was to start a series of concerts entitled Masters of the Baroque featuring works by Monteverdi and Schütz with performances in Dublin and Wexford’s National Opera House.  We look forward to bringing this concert and the ensuing series to you at some point in the future when performances have resumed.

All of us at Chamber Choir Ireland hope that you are all keeping safe and well in what continues to be a trying time.  We look forward to restrictions lifting gradually and safely in the coming weeks and months and hope that our online offerings here and through our other social media channels are providing some light choral relief.
