Performers

Chamber Choir Ireland
Owain ParkGuest Director

Chamber Choir Ireland gives their first performance at Clonmel's Finding a Voice festival.

Led by Owain Park (The Gesualdo Six), the programme celebrates choral music by women composers throughout the centuries, featuring the soaring medieval visions of Hildegard of Bingen, and the refined Renaissance harmonies of Leonora D’Este and Vittoria Aleotti.

The programme weaves late Romantic gems by Clara Schumann and Amy Beach together with luminous works by contemporary composers, including the captivating voices of Caroline Shaw and Marian Ingoldsby.

A centrepiece is Thea Musgrave’s Rorate caeli, a vivid choral tour de force.
