Chamber Choir Ireland
This June, five young choral conductors will lead the professional singers of Chamber Choir Ireland in the Feis Ceoil Choral Conducting competition.
On Saturday 7 June, entrants will rehearse and perform with Chamber Choir Ireland, choosing from works by Einojuhani Rautavaara, William Byrd, Rhona Clarke, Eoghan Desmond, Carlo Gesualdo, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Maurice Ravel.
Three finalists will go on to lead the choir in competition on Sunday 8 June, each performing their piece of music from the first round, alongside Edward Elgar's Owls op. 53 no. 4.
The winner will receive a Feis Ceoil gold medal and certificate, as well as professional development opportunities with Chamber Choir Ireland in the coming year.
All sessions are open to the public and free to attend.
