Each year, soundfestival showcases the variety of innovative music being created today, from classical to jazz, electroacoustic, and sound art.
This October, Chamber Choir Ireland will set a meditative scene with Tallis' Lamentations, before performing some of the best contemporary choral music by Irish composers and commissioners in recent years.
David Fennessy's Letter to Michael reads the unsent letters of a desperate woman. Rhona Clarke's Requiem omits judgement, embracing perpetual light. Cassandra Miller's The City, Full of People, inspired by the opening Lamentations, closes the concert in a ‘cacophony of private secrets’.
