Sarah Keating

Sarah is a freelance soprano based in London and from Waterford. She began working as a deputy with Chamber Choir Ireland in 2020 and was delighted to join the group as a regular member in 2023. Sarah has performed with various ensembles across the UK and Ireland including The Sixteen, Sestina, Siglo de Oro, St Martin’s Voices and Recordare. She recently completed a MA Music: Solo Voice Ensemble Singing from the University of York where she graduated with Distinction.

Sarah’s solo performance engagements include Handel’s Messiah with the Irish Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir Ireland, Bach’s Jesu der du meine Seele at St Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick, Lili Boulanger’s Pie Jesu and Fauré’s Requiem with the University of York Choir and Chamber Orchestra and Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.

Sarah enjoyed making her debut at the BBC Proms with the Choir and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for Bach’s Mass in B Minor in August 2022. Opera chorus performances include Handel’s Theodora at the Northern Aldborough Festival, Yorkshire and Caccini’s Alcina at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin.

A keen educator, Sarah holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music Education degree from Trinity College Dublin and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She works as a Soprano Tutor with both the Irish Youth Choir and Irish Youth Training Choir and is a Lead Artist with Ark Schools Music in London on their Inspiring Excellence programme.
