Sarah LedwidgeSoprano

Sarah trained at Guildhall School of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire. She has a keen interest in early music, performing regularly with her trio Speranza Ensemble, and is one half of the Eldson Duo, performing repertoire for soprano and guitar. She has also performed as a soloist and chorister with Ex Cathedra, Resurgam and Crux Vocal Ensemble. Sarah has worked with opera companies including Garsington, Opera Ireland, Mid-Wales Opera and British Youth Opera. She has also performed in Peter Grimes conducted by Simon Rattle. Sarah has worked extensively as vocalist for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon and London’s West End. She has sung many times with the CBSO, and recently made her debut with the RTE Concert Orchestra. In 2011 Sarah sang with the National Chamber Choir of Ireland in the White House. She played the role of Amore in Rossi’s L’Orfeo at the Galway Arts Festival 2014 in a joint production between Resurgam and Atalante. Prizes include Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize and Worshipful Company of Musicians Silver Medal and All Card Award.
